On another scortching, humid July day Superstars took
on long term and much liked opponents Ad Hoc Exiles (aka ATOC Exiles and various other names), a team
that rings so hard these days they can be found by googling "campanology". |

Superstars had only 9 men and probably needed a good start. They had an unlucky start with James Allen Perry (0-26) not getting the reward for some good bowling,
with Vijay only slightly more rewarded (1-18). Man of the moment after his 5 wickets in a recent match,
Chris Mountain had less success (1-23) while Ric's figures were the pick of the bunch (2-15). With some
some good batsmen in and the slog very much on Alok (0-28) and Mark W (0-35) did their best. Ad Hoc
had made 146-4 on a wet wicket, albeit on a small ground with fast outfield. |

Paul G and skipper Barry opened up. Both batted well
but probably vitally neither managed to reach 25 and retire. Paul made 16, Barry 24. Jaime stuggled
with the slow pace of the wicket but made a useful 12, Vijay was caught at long on for 1. Meanwhile Ric
was making a very good 23 including some lusty blows, but when he was caught behind (and thus could
not return) Superstars were up against it. Chris Mountain provided energy and a high octane 14 but
the required rate was too much and Mark (run out for 3) and Alok (3) were both dismissed leaving James
0no. Sueprstars were 115 all out, 31 runs short with 17 balls left unused. |

A decent game but as so many times this year Superstars were beaten mainly because of a lack of players. |
