At the best ground and batting track we will play on this season Mike T and Merv kept the runs down before the Bank's batsmen hyper inflated with numerous sixes. Despite some great catches by Richard, Mike T and Dan T. The Bank reached 173-7 off 20. In reply wickets fell at regular intervals with Matt out in is 20s, Steve Evison scoring a six then out, Richard Godden hit some towering sixes in a score of over 30 and Dan Taylor scored 16 no at the death. In the end we managed 132-9 a loss by 41 runs. |

Can we just note for the record, so it's picked up at awards time, Matt Conway's try saving tackle on their opening bowler. What was nice was that Matt not only managed to prevent a certain score in the corner but he also managed to complete the run. I do suggest he works on his technique though; I was a little disappointed to see that the guy with all the padding on and weilding a big stick/bat seemed to come off worse against an essentially unarmed man. Should we be introducing tackling practice at nets next year?
