SUPERSTARS HAMMER OLD FOES DODGERS. |

The first Ken Block Trophy clash of the year was held at the Chiswick
ground in front of the feverish support of the DOdgers home support. Barry won the toss (no, really, he did!) and
elected to bat in a move of positivity that didn't reflect the recent "collapsability" of the Superstars batting
line up. |

Steve Cartman and Mike Berry opened the batting in an agressive move
by Gigg. After a relatively slow start Superstars hit 3 fours in the 4th over (off the bowling of Spencer-Jones). Both
batsmen continued batting well, both ending - coincidently - on 50 retired off 48 balls. Conway and Anand took over
and continued the good batting with 25 not out (16 balls) and 17 not out (18 balls) respectively. Superstars ended
with a good, but not unchasable, 165-0 in their 20 overs, with Smulian the pick of the bowlers (4-0-21-0). |

Superstars opened the batting with regular pairing of Chodzko-Zajko
and Varghese. Chodzko-Zajko took the wicket of TQ with the very first ball (bowled) but Dodgers were still in the game
at 47-1 after 8 overs. Plahe and Reeve joined the attack and as the Dodgers batsmen upped the aggression Plahe took the
wicket of Mohan (caught Berry for 30) while Dollin retired (50 off 33 balls) and Kumar and Conway picked up run outs.
After 16 overs Dodgers were 110-2 and while not out of the game Jack Lovell and Harish Kumar kept John Hilary and Tim
Laken quiet to keep Dodgers to 138-4. |

A great all round performance from a dominant Superstars side - winning by 27 runs
and taking a 1-0 series lead in the 2018 Ken Block Trophy Series. |
