SUPERSTARS WIN FAR FROM LEISURELY. |

Superstars made the long trip to Sunbury for the popular game against
Hounslow Leisure. There was (understandable given the month we'd had) concern about the weather but we arrived
to dry if a little gloomy conditions which improved as the night progressed. We bowled first and restricted a
Wendel-less HL to 106 all out with Alok, SKC, Roy, Simon, Dan, Roy's friend and Ian doing a great job with the ball. |

Superstars started well, and were 46-1 after 8 overs but suffered
a stodgy spell in the middle overs after Vijay (18) was dismissed and a double wicket maiden in the 18th over
got the nerves going and left us requiring 10 off the final over. Fortunately a wide, an Alok single and two
fours from Simon G saw us home. As well as Vijay, SKC scored useful runs and Paul G (27) played anchor on
a slow pitch. |
