SUPERSTARS MADE TO WALK THE PLANK |

While politicians were being reshuffled by new leader Theresa May,
Superstars shuffled to Hampstead Heath to play old friends TfL Pirates. Vijay was skipper for the second time
after losing first time out. |

Superstars made 127 in their 20 overs, but it could have been
more with only 2 scored off the final two overs. Diwakar and Simon G both reached 25 and retired, whilst
there were good cameos from Adam and Gary. Still 127 on the Heath can be defended on an uneasy surface
and occasionally a slow outfield. |

Our defence needed a good start and although it certainly
didn't get out of hand there were a couple of key dropped catches. Roy, Simon and Mike D were the pick of
the bowlers, while Vijay bowled well at the death but in the end Pirates just about got there in the
final over. So frustration for captain Anand, who got positive feedback from his team but no
postive result i'm afraid. |
