PIRATES MAKE GIGG WALK THE PLANK |

Superstars arrived at Parliament Hill to take on TfL Pirates for the second time
ever after last year's famous tied match. A late scramble for players meant we had a few mates of greats in the line up but at least
we had 11 players proud to wear the Superstars shirt. |

Pirates batted first and scored 126 with everyone chipping in with wickets apart
from Alok who bowled well again. At the turnover Barry, our leader and inspiration, mentioned the indifferent bounce to our
batsman but was not too concerned as the low balls were mainly down legside. Errrr they opened up with two left arm overs and after the first over -goldens for Gary and Adam and we were 4-3. At 7-5 me and Simon put on 50 odd but I got one that shot along the ground, alok was well caught, Ian hit a few measured shots, I ran out the new guy - Ian's mate and Ian was out with an over to spare giving their guy his 5 for but at least we made 89. Jonty was much amused by my assessment of the track. |
