MIKE TAYLOR MADE FOR TRAIN SPOTTERS |
|
|

On a beautiful evening in glamorous Barnes Superstars Legend Mike Taylor
starred in a good victory over train lovers the Strategic Rail Authority at their Barn Elms ground - a ground that
always tended to favour the bowlers. |

Mike seems to remember bowling a reasonably good line and length and that
the ball seemed to hit the wicket or go to hand a lot more than usual. More importantly he also remembered some rather
nice scantily clad young ladies appearing while he was waiting to bat and that they handed out free shampoo/deodrant samples!!!!

One of those five wickets was probably future Superstar Paul Gaught
(you can see how he was recruited a year later
here) while another could well have been future Dodger Mike Dollin. These potential wickets show what a high class
bowling spell it must have been despite no one really remembering it. |

Mike's 4-0-10-5 was his best (statistical) bowling ever for the club. |
