GREAT GUNDRY GUNS DOWN TREASURY |

Dear website reader, here's a website secret. Many of these reports
from pre 2008 were written well after the event. In September 2003 Simon Gundry exploded into the Superstars' Best
Bowling charts with figures of 5-2-5-5. The website has two sources for a report of this great performance
and I shall let you decide where the truth lies. |

Firstly we asked Superstars Great Simon Gundry himself. He modestly said
"That was indeed a tremendous bowling feat. It was on a good Chiswick batting pitch against a very good Treasury side.
We were under pressure but I ripped apart the quality top order with searing pace and bounce to win the game." Sounds
genuine I thought. |

However Phil Patten's
2003 Player Reports suggest a season of average protection and "rabbit hunting", it is unclear if his comment on this
performance ("Wow") is sarcasm but it's worth noting these reports tended to be 45 per cent sarcasm, 45 per cent abuse and
10 per cent moans about dropped catches off his bowling. |

So in summary a great achievement and it's a shame we seem to have more information on events
in 1066 via tapestries etc than we do on this amazing Superstars feat. But well bowled Simon whatever the reality. |
