Superstars Cricket Club had yet another winning season, playing a total of 23 games,
with six matches being cancelled. |

Of the 23 games this year, we lost six times, with one being abandoned halfway through and a tied game,
leaving us with 15 victories. OSD Allstars, with a much improved team, managed to provide us with very stiff opposition this year beating us three
times on the trot. It was only when Gary Barth transferred to OSD that we managed to level the series, final score 3-3. |

We played BOCs five times, winning 3 with 1 cancellation. We lost one game against them this season,
leaving acting captain Steve Carter with the distinction of leading the team to defeat against them for the first time in a couple of years.
Although rumour has it that this has ensured that they continue playing next year. |

We also played Dodgers four times winning each game. Although they seem to be improving all the
time and may be harder to beat next season. |

DST were scheduled to play us three times this season. We only managed to play them once
in a game that counted, although they still only had 8 or 9 players. The second game against them was cancelled, although we played an
eight a side muck-about game. The third scheduled game, they turned up with 6 players. The game is counted as a victory in the analysis.
I would hope that they can continue next season, if their pool of players make more of an effort. |

Of the other game we played, Lord Chancellors were beaten once, with the return game being
cancelled, ACAS we beat, we avenged our defeat last year in a thrilling game against DNH, the game against Darren Cooper XI was
abandoned (rain) at a stage where either time could have won, we also tied in a game against the MOD. The matches against DSS, New Eltham
and National Savings were also cancelled because the opposition could not raise a team. |

The other two games we played this year were on our tour to Lancashire, both of which we lost.
However, this did not dampen our spirits and we intend on arranging a similar event next season. |

As far as the individual performances are concerned, congratulations should go to Andy
Jacobs and Tony Whitrod, for winning the bowling and batting trophies this season, although Tom took more wickets, and Steve Meyler
scored more runs. All four have played extremely well this season and given 100%, and some of their performances have actually won
matches for us. Everybody else in the side has chipped in with good solid performances and should look forward to next season. |

In last year's report I stated that the team seemed to going from strength to strength.
What a difference a year makes. We are now in a situation where we need to improve our squad of players. If you know of anyone
that might be interested, please let me know. |

On the following pages you will find a review of players, this has been compiled by Phil,
except his own, which was done by Steve Carter. I have also added some comments. You will also find averages for batting, bowling
and catching. [Website Ed - these pages are on other pages - look to the top right]. |

Finally, I would like to wish next year's Captain good luck, and hope he enjoys it as
much as I did in the first couple of years, and not like last year. I hope you all have good Christmas and look forward to 1997. |
