Mark is an enthusiastic and aggressive batsman who can also do some (jerky) medium fast deliveries. Mark is a big beefy West Country man who is well known for his love for politics. His enthusiasm to play and commitment to the team led to him scoring 140 runs in 2009 however independent polls show that level dropped to 2 runs in 2011. Mark was a regular player for superstars until he left the civil service.
Mark had never played cricket before playing for Superstars, whether he had afterwards is up for debate! His Batting style is very enthusiastic and aggressive (slogging virtually everything) and a big whack when that doesn't work. His bowling really improved over time and was even considered a bowler by the last few appearances even though it might be dangerous to the wicket keeper, first slip, second slip or gully but point is normally safe, his fielding was entertaining but far from perfect! Among his friends Mark is a lovely cheerful guy and has all the ingredients to become the first superstar MP (Member of Parliament) as its becoming a popular trend among cricketers of similar ability.
Mark is close to qualifying for the career bowling stat (only 5.5 overs to go), a proud statistical achievement. If he can get back to his 2009 form
