A long standing player and committee member with authoritarian,
right-wing tendencies, Matt has also scored second highest total number of runs for Superstars (as at end 2014 season).
Allegedly his batting style used to be more conventional and stylish but he now seems to be obsessed with
the mow to mid-wicket. |

Matt often opens the batting. After his rapid return to the boundary
Matt will always volunteer to score and does so with great accuracy. While filling in every detail he delights
in simultaneously calculating run rates (actual and required) in his head. He is also the proud owner of a set of
Duckworth-Lewis Tables (or maybe he
does that in his head too). |

Matt's bowling is aggressive for a spinner but in the nature of social
clubs, top order batsmen do not get to bowl as often as they should. In between spells of bowling Matt often picks
up fielding awards - usually for dropped catch of the season. |

Away from the pitch Matt has moved up in the world and away from the
centre of things; representing senior management and rural living with wife and children he is less evident socially
than he used to be - or maybe it sounds too much like socialism.

Matt is a proud member of all four statistical 'clubs' Matt is 2nd on
the list of run-getters, the 4th highest capped Superstar, the 7th greatest wicket taker and the 7th most fielding dismissals.
Matt was also 50 per cent (notionally) of the club's highest ever stand (180no versus Housing Corporation in 2000). |

Matt is a former Vice Captain who is a long standing committee member and was
named a Future Unanimous Chairman and King of Superstars) by one Superstar - at least that's what I think he said. |
