What is there to say about (now ex - Ed) Chairman Meyler that hasn't already been muttered under the breath of every Superstar? A senior member of the team, a true gentleman, and an example to us all, on and off the pitch.
His cover drive is a joy to behold and when he comes on for his bit part leg spinners you'd better watch out - particularly if you're on the boundary or beyond it. As for his fielding, it's astonishing to watch him dive around after the ball, and one day he may even get a hand to it.
As for his off field exploits, they should probably be left unsaid (in case of libel action), except to say that he likes a few drinks and can always be found close to the action on tour. Steve is the father of more talented Rhys Meyler and essentially is only kept in the squad as we want Rhys to play occasionally.
Steve is the 3rd highest run scorer in Superstars history, he is also (somehow) 5th in the career bowling averages and has taken 50 catches. Steve passed 200 appearances for the club in 2012.
