Some of squad had beers in Canterbury and then stayed at Simon's step-mother's in Herne Bay the night before the big match. Matt C managed to break a priceless family heirloom during a
game of catch in the sitting room which clearly hasn't been forgotten in the Gundry household. The team rose the next day for the game and were joined by those who travelled down on the day. |

The ground apparently played differently when the tide was in but was lovely and the opposition looked a high quality outfit with an overseas star (ours being Steve
Meyler). We managed to lose quite convincingly with Steve M dropping a catch but Simon's friend Michael Rigden ensuring some modicum of respectability. |
