TO MANKAD, OR TO NOT MANKAD..... |

A beautiful sunny day on a stereotype flat looking Berrylands wicket. Barry
presumably lost the lost the toss and we headed out to field. |

LSE started well with two high quality players opening up the innings. The first (Pete)
retired at 50 and although the other batsmen weren't as good they still had some good players, especially later on when one guy
showed some excellent long handle skills to get LSE Kings to an imposing 230-3. Only George Moore (1-20) and Matt C (1-35) picked
up wickets however neither of those wickets will remain in the memory.... |

The other wicket will. The former Weasels opener was nearing his customary 50 retired when
Matt C warned him for leaving his ground too quickly. An over or so later he did the same and claimed the wicket. It's always an
awkward situation as many people consider this "not cricket" however it is worth remembering that cheating by being out of your ground
isn't cricket either and having been warned it's pretty stupid to be dismissed in that way too. Not the game's finest moment
but the one people will remember. |

Anyway, after tea (awesome as always) Superstars set off with
postive intent. Even Gaught seemed to throw relative caution to the wind. George Moore scored a dependable 50 retired but it was Adam Spencer
who was free flowing and really got the team up with and ahead of the rate. After that there were contributions all the way down but Vijay's
jug avoiding 49 and Gundry's calmness at the end (inc a huge 6) were the effort that got us to the line. In the end we made it for the loss of 5 wickets. |
