Mike Yarwood has nothing on Ian "Moxy" Moxon. Best known for his impression of a Liverpudlian bricklayer from the 80's TV series 'Auf Weidersen Pet', Moxy sometimes even does great impressions on the cricket field. His best is of Bob Willis bowling; lumbering in off a run up of 200 metres till he has built up enough speed to rival Usain Bolt then unwinding in a sea of legs and arms to deliver the ball like an exocet missile vaguely in the direction of the unsuspecting batsman, unfortunately Moxy also does a good impression of Bob Willis batting too.
In the bar his languid leaning on the bar looking cool aka Simon Templar (Roger Moore) always looks good and would impress the ladies if the bar was anywhere but a real ale pub filled with weirdy beardies supping their strange brews, of which he is a connoisseur.
Purports to be from Yorkshire "God's own country" but the BBC programme "Who do you think you are?" claimed in a recent expos and that he was really from Slough and was once part of the Slough Massive; a claim that he strongly denies using a very deep Yorkshire accent with words along the lines of "I'm no soft Southern Pansy".
Moxy is good company as he always has a funny story or joke to share in the pavilion or bar a trait he learned while doing Jimmy Tarbuck impressions.
Ian is yet to make any of the illustrious Stats Clubs. He's only 19 wickets away from bowling club. He is however one of the Superstars Modern Greats, and has a better bowling average than Mike Taylor.
