Match Report
This game against (formerly Defra) All Stars will be remembered less for the cricket and more for the weather. Barry won the toss under dark and imposing Chiswick skies, and Sam and Michael set off at a rapid rate reaching 30 after three overs. Next followed a fairly impressive Superstars collapse, which left us all out for 76, with at least 20 of those contributed by our old friend Mr Extras. Our innings featured three farcical run outs, some excellent Defra catching and a glorious cover drive by Michael Duggan at the end, which was the only boundary scored after Sam's fireworks were extinguished early on.
So as the heavens opened (Ed - a clue to which can be see in the scorebook pics below), with temperatures still well above 20 degrees, we decided to carry on. The 1st over went for 16 and at this point we thought the contest would be over swiftly; we were wrong. With a retirement and wickets for Konrad, Plahe, Mountain and Duggan, the game somehow lasted until the 16th over. The rain fell throughout which must have contributed to our 4 drops and by the end we were all completely drenched, but it was a laugh as always.

Notes
Another entry for this analysis from 2019 on the famous Superstars collapse.
It was darn wet and normal people would have hidden in the pub very early on. Barry isn't normal.
