It was a must win for Supes after losing the first of the 3 match Ken Block series.
Having won the toss Barry chose to bat - there were only 8 players present at the start so no brainer. George saw
off a watchful first maiden over and then George 30ret, Matt 30ret, Dave Cuthbertson 28 off 12 and Arun Sajjan
14 saw us to a first wicket stand of 102. Vijay 35ret then continued the bazball approach and off the penultimate
ball hit a six which went at least 30 yards over the boundary. We had reached an imposing 159-4.

In reply Dodgers tried but failed to match our run rate and 12 overs from
Konrad 2-15, Gary 1-22 and Sam Farnham 2-21 went for less than 5 an over. During this time Vijay had nabbed
a hatrick of catches. Despite some big hitting at the end of their innings Dodgers could only reach 134-5
to lose by 25 runs. This sets it up nicely for the decider at the end of August. |

The opening partnership of 102 between Conway, Warren, Sajjan and Cuthbertson was our first century
partnership (for any wicket) of the season. |

This was the 5th win in a row for Superstars, with no one quite comprehending how this had happened. |
