We had 10 players. 7 of our guys batted. Everyone contributed. JB retired tired. No one got to 25 retired. Extras did well. 155-4.
They had 8 players but at least 6 were excellent batters. Jubril saw off 2 of them with excellent bowling, Gary bowled well and took one wicket. They were going at 10 an over, we needed to get the 7 wickets to win. Barry took a sharp stumping off Mike D who also did a bit of quick thinking to enact a run out. As took one wicket and while FSS still had about 50 still to get with one wicket left their retiring batter returned and would have got the target until Az pulled a rip snorter to bowl him.
We won by 40 but that didn’t tell the full story of a tight finish and excellent team effort.
