Sports Day Friday was the first sunny day of the week. The cricket was played at the picturesque Teddington CC ground, indeed at the start there were 50 roe door in the outfield. Sups first game v Uncertainty saw us (Barry, Will, Ben, Chris, Adam and Jim) bowl the oppo out for 12 - we batted out our 5 overs for some practice. Second game saw Will, Chris and Adam score 102 as we won by about 50 runs. Soups meanwhile (Jason, Mark W, Jamie, Abu, Harish, Kenny) won their first game chasing 33 to win but in their second came across Tom Newman Taylor ex Sups who steered his side to 64, in reply we were about 10 short with Harish scoring a couple of sixes. |

That meant Sups had to play TNT in the semi and again he batted well and they scored 63. In reply Will and Adam were equal to the task, a no ball that went for 8 helped the cause as we won with a couple of balls to spare. In the final we came up against BRE and we were put into bat. Adam and Will started at 15 an over and despite regular wickets - Ben and me also got our first knocks of the day - we managed a very healthy 74. BRE had John Noonan jnr playing who had apparently scored all their runs but Ben bowled him with a beauty second ball and we then managed to keep BRE down to 50+ so another win for Superstars, our ninth I believe, only slightly spoiled by the non appearance of medals - they're in the post. At least Henry Walker saw some cricket this time after the rain out earlier in the week. |

In other events Paul G's side won the softball, Chris was second in the shot and Chairman Steve made it to the semis of the tennis. All in all another good sports day. |
