This was our first match against Tideway, hopefully it won't be our
last against a great set of guys. Ian Moxon was the go-between to organise the match but unfortunately
couldn't make the match at late notice - presumably because he saw his likely figures of 4-0-144-0. |

|
Tideway got used to playing us straight away by winning the toss.
They elected to bowl in a 16 over a side contest. |
|
|
|
Gigg and Hewlett opened and got the side off to a great start.
Sups were 82 in the 11th over before they lost their 1st wicket, a rare run out not involving
Barry or Bish. If fact the unfortunate Nick Allen-Perry (20) was the only batter dismissed
as Stars made 134-1 in 16 overs with Gigg, Lovell and Hewlett all retiring and returning
legend Mike Taylor left not out with Plahe. Rumours that Ian Moxon was their bowling coach,
as they couldn't afford Alfie, have not been denied. |

|
Up against such a surprisingly good total Tideway battled
well and scored a creditable 85 in reply. Superstars used 6 bowlers with James Allen-Perry
starring with 3-0-10-2. Tideway certainly showed signs that next year they'll provide a
testing match. |

The post match was certainly enjoyed by both sides. |

The first ever game between Tideway and Superstars. |
|
|
|
Ian Moxon chickened out from playing against us knowing he'd
get likely figures of 4-0-144-0 and a golden duck. |
