SUPS TOFT MATCH UP |
|
|
|
It was a tough day for Superstars as new opponents TOFT turned up looking pretty good. It took until the 120 and final
ball for Superstars to get a wicket and although there were 5 or 6 dropped catches none were particularly bad (I won't be suggesting them for the drop of
the season award anyway). We didn't really chase down the target although after one ball our run rate was 24 per over and I guess we showed interest until
pinch-hitter Gaught-Allen was out. The crowd enjoyed Meyler's strady knock and Gary hitting one shot to the offside but a 60 run defeat was a fair representation.
A good bunch though and we enjoyed watching Tottenham win a trophy later on, which just shows you that hapless sporting organisations can triumph and turn things
round. |

Mike Kamellard, Superstars' oldest ever player, missed the opportunity to get his 100th career wicket and remains, tantalisingly, on 99. |
