SUPERSTARS IN HOC AFTER POOR BATTING DISPLAY |
In temperatures in the mid 80s [Ed - Gigg is old school, it was around 30 degrees for anyone born after the Crimean War] Barry agreed
that Westminster should bat first as they were short on numbers at 6.15. A tidy opening spell from harry forman 3-0-7-1 kept the runs in check.
Duggers also bowled a tidy spell 3-0-13-1, inc a stumping by the skip for the game gigg. In all 8 players had a bowl with John Bishop taking the other wicket
after a sharp catch from Sam emery. After 20 overs Westminster had scored 118-4. |

Sam kindly let Dan open so we had a father and son combo. With Harry striking at 300 we quickly had 60 off 5 overs. On their
retirement we slowed down before Az Harris smote a couple of sixes. The brothers Ali then saw us home in just over 14 overs. A 10 wicket win, one for the record books. |

An undefeated stand of 120 for the first wicket will surely be the best partnership of the season. |

That stand was started by Father & Son (Dan and Harry Forman) and ended with brothers (Suleman and Adnaan Ali). This note was only possible
because Sam Emery insisted on Dan and Harry batting together and Az really got a shift on at number 4! |
